EMDR is one way in which we can work together so you can have the peaceful and happy life you’ve always dreamed of. EMDR Therapy stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Known as "The Gold Standard" for trauma therapy, it is an evidence-based approach to help with trauma / PTSD, depression, anxiety, phobias, and other emotional disturbances. By using bilateral stimulation (something you can see, hear or touch moving in a side-to-side pattern, such as moving your eyes back and forth) disturbing thoughts and memories are reprocessed by your brain, leading you to feel more calm and at peace. Group Therapy Services
Group therapy provides a safe and confidential environment to work through common issues and to encourage others who face similar difficulties.
I offer DBT groups for adults and teens, and a caregiver support group for individuals caring for a loved one.
In DBT you'll lear mindfulness skills, distress tolerance skills, and emotion regulation skills to create a healthier balance between your thoughts and emotions.
The caregiver support group gives those caring for loved ones (often adult-dependents) the space to build community, in what is often an isolating experience. You'll learn tools to navigate the many different "hats" you wear in a mindful, self-compassionate way.
